Abstract

The pilot study presented here serves to prepare a scoping review of research activities in general didactics of technology. A scoping review provides an overview of existing evidence in a research field of a discipline without evaluating the methodological quality of the included studies. In the pilot study, publications from a specialised journal, dissertations and post-doctoral theses in the subject as well as articles from selected specialist conferences are used. In a multi-stage selection process, 90 scientific publications were filtered out of 224 findings. In a first step, these are analysed with regard to research methods using a deductive-inductive category system. The result is a validated category system for research methods.
