Abstract

In qualitative and quantitative terms, the recruitment of vocationally qualified technicians and master craftsmen and -women for teacher training in the industrial-technical fields of teaching at vocational schools is urgently necessary. However, there are various considerable challenges for this target group. One solution is to improve the general conditions; another solution is to accompany vocationally qualified students during their studies. The article describes the development of a dual study model in Saxony, the Design-Based-Research approach of its scientific support and first results.
