Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) became more popular in the last years since requirements and cost have sunk. Also, research interest for AR in education increased. Until now positive effects like increased learning gains and motivation in several departments were demonstrated. Goal of this review is to provide a structured outline of AR in technical education. Moreover, it will be critically examined how well human and social aspects of technology are considered in respective applications.
