Abstract

The seminar „Digitization in task and occupation” proposes a teaching concept for students aiming to work as vocational teachers which was developed as part of the MINTplus2 project at TU Darmstadt. Throughout the seminar, students gain insight into the present issues and trends of their vocational specialization and develop their own teaching concepts.

This approach seeks to enable students to support their future learners to adapt their skills to current and future requirements. On the basis of problem- and activity-oriented practice, the course aims to promote the digital competency of the students. This article presents and discusses the initial position, the concept, the implementation and the results of the summative evaluation based on a longitudinal sample (n = 37).
